Redmi Earbuds S vs Realme Buds Air Neo: Price, Music Playback, Drivers, Charging; Here's All You Need To Know
Redmi and Realme have launched their first truly wireless earbuds in India. Here are some key features of both to know what users are being promised.
New Delhi: Redmi on Tuesday officially launched its first truly wireless earbuds in India with Redmi Earbuds S that promise 12 hours of playback with the charging case and otherwise up to 4 hours of music playback in one go.
Just a day ago, Realme had also launched its first fully wireless earbud Realme Buds Air Neo. These offer 17 hours of total playback (with case) and 3 hrs of continuous music playback.
Here are some key features that both the companies have to offer in their respective products:
Redmi Earbuds S
For fitness enthusiasts the earbuds feature IPX4 sweat and splash-proof protection. For gamers, it offers a dedicated gaming mode called the 'Low Latency Gaming Mode' which will help in reducing audio lag while playing games.
It promises to be comfortably lightweight and provide a punchy sound with better bass experience. There is DSP Noise Cancellation technology to provide a better calling experience as it commits to enhance cancel out ambient sound when a user attends a call.
Redmi Buds S comes with 7.2mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and voice assistance support for both Android and iOS.
As informed, for turning on the earbuds all one has to do is to take it out of the charging case and wait for a few seconds to pair with each other. Then to turn it off the user will have to put the pair back to their charging case and close the case.
The earbuds will take approximately 1.5 hours to charge, the case has a Micro-USB port for charging. Design-wise the earbuds are black in clour and have a physical multi-function button for tasks like playing music, answering calls, etc.
In India, Redmi Earbuds S has been priced at Rs 1,799, and the online sale will begin from May 27.
Realme Buds Air Neo
The Realme Buds also are IPX4 Water-resistant and offer a Super Low Latency Gaming Mode.
The company promises a comfortable wearing experience and Dynamic Bass Boost (DBB) for a thumping bass for music lovers. For those particular about drivers, in this product, users get a 13mm Large Driver, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and One-touch Google Assistant.
Turning on and off is going to be similar - take out of charging case to power on, put it back in for power off.
The approximate time for charging has not been revealed on the website, however, here too the case has a Micro-USB port for charging instead of Type C charging. Designwise there are 3 color varients offered: Pop White, Punk Green, and Rock Red. Instead of a physical button, you get touch controls.
Realme Buds Air Neo comes up with a comparatively heftier starting price of Rs 2,999 and the online sale will begin from May 28.
