The short-term updates that vanish after 12 hours began with Snapchat and then were further popularised by Instagram. Then Facebook brought it on its social media app and WhatsApp messenger. Recently, Twitter too got on the bandwagon and launched its version as 'Fleets'.

These updates clearly continue to be widely used. Perhaps, that is why Instagram is going to bring a new layout to its already-popular feature.

Julian Gamboa, Marketing and Social Media Manager at Adweek, recently took to Twitter and shared the screenshots of the new layout.

"You have heard of two rows of Instagram Stories...Now prepare for SEE ALL STORIES," - he wrote.

The new update will clearly bring a lot more focus on the stories feature as it does not stop at having 2 rows dedicated to it. When a user clicks on 'See All Stories', they will be able to see stories of all the accounts they follow together.

Users will expectedly be shocked by such a visual transformation and it will take for them to get used to the change. As it happens every time a platform goes for a revamped look, the update may receive some flak only to become the new normal soon after.

The reactions will definitely be interesting to watch.
