Ducati to launch XDiavel Cruiser in India on September 15
New Delhi: Ducati is all set to launch its XDiavel Cruiser on the 15th of September, 2016, in India. Ducati India has shared a pic of the XDiavel on its social media page, which also confirms the Indian launch of the Cruiser.
The Ducati XDiavel was first showcased at the 2015 EICMA Motorcycle Show, where it walked away with the honors of being the most beautiful bike of the show that year. It also wins the honor of being the first belt-driven motorcycle in the iconic motorcycle manufacturer’s history.
Popular for superbikes, the Ducati XDaviel is the first of its kind Cruiser for the Ducati. It is also originally meant for the US market. Upon launch, it will take on Harley-Davidson models and Indian Motorcycle brand models, closely the Street Bob and Indian Scout, respectively.
The Ducati XDiavel draws power from a DVT variable valve timing 1,262 cc powerplant that churns out 158 PS of peak power and 129 Nm of peak torque. The price of the Cruiser will be around Rs. 16.3 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). And when the Ducati XDiavel S also launches, expect it to price around Rs. 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The motorcycle gets equipped with the launch control system called the “Ducati Power Launch”, along with ABS and Ducati Traction Control (DCT), cruise control, etc. It also gets Bluetooth connectivity and backlit switches on handlebars.
Ergonomically designed, the headlights also get full LED optical lights as well. While up to five seat styles and three types of handlebars are offered for customization, it also gets three riding modes as Urban, Sport and Touring.
