Huge Relief To Delhiites! Diesel Price Slashed by Over Rs 8 Per Litre, To Now Cost Rs 73.64

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made the announcement at a press conference on Thursday and said that the cabinet has approved to reduce VAT on diesel from 30% to 16.75%.

Diesel Prices In Delhi: In a major relief to the common man amid financially challenging times induced by the coronavirus pandemic, Delhi government has slashed the rate of diesel by over Rs 8 per litre. This will reduce price of diesel in Delhi from Rs 82 to Rs 73.64. That is the price will be reduced by Rs 8.36 per litre, he said. He said there was a serious challenge of reviving the economy of Delhi but it will be achieved together with cooperation of people. The diesel price will now come down from Rs 82 a litre to Rs 73.64 a litre, he said and added that traders and industrialists in the city had demanded it. Around 7,577 companies have registered, 2,04,785 jobs have been advertised and 3,22,865 people have applied for jobs on it,” he said. It should be noted that reates vary from state to state depending on the incidence of local sales tax or VAT. On Sunday, the diesel price in the national capital inched towards the Rs 82 per litre-mark following the second consecutive day of price hike. Diesel price was increased by 15 paise per litre, according to a price notification of state-owned oil marketing companies. This took the retail selling price in the national capital to the highest ever rate of Rs 81.94 per litre. In the month of July diesel prices saw a massive and continuous hike . The cumulative increase in diesel price since June 7 now totals Rs 12.55 per litre. Also Watch:
