New Delhi: Once again, there is a spurt in coronavirus cases in Delhi as the national capital on Sunday reported 1,083 fresh COVID-19 infections while one person died due to the disease, as per the data shared by the health department.
At the same time, the positivity rate has reached 4.48 percent. Now the total number of active cases in Delhi has reached 3975. A total of 80 people are admitted to the hospital. Everyone else has been advised to keep in home isolation.
While in India 2,593 new cases were reported in a day, after which the total number of cases increased to 4,30,57,545, while the number of active cases has increased to 15,873. According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, due to the death of 44 more patients of Covid, the total death toll reached 5,22,193.
At the same time, the number of patients under treatment is 0.04 percent of the total cases of infection, while the national rate of recovery from infection is 98.75 percent.

According to the data, the number of people who have recovered from infection has increased to 4,25,19,479, while the death rate is 1.21 percent. So far, more than 187.67 crore doses have been given under the nationwide anti-COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the countrymen to be alert and follow all preventive measures like wearing masks, following proper distance and washing hands frequently in the wake of rising cases of Covid-19 in the latest episode of All India Radio's monthly radio program "Mann Ki Baat".

"In the midst of all this, you also have to be alert of corona (virus). Wearing a mask, washing hands at regular intervals, whatever are the necessary measures for prevention, keep following them," the prime minister stressed.
