Corona in Delhi: Cases of Coronavirus in the country are increasing day by day. Several states, including the National Capital Delhi, have started imposing restrictions to contain the spread of the virus. Meanwhile, the Delhi government has reported that Rs 1.5 crore has been collected as fine within the last two days for violation of the covid protocol.
163 FIRs have also been registered for violation of covid protocol.
The Delhi government has said that Delhi Police has also registered 163 FIRs for violation of covid protocols. The government informed that 1,245 cases of violation of covid protocols were registered in East Delhi and 1,446 in North Delhi. Meanwhile, 7,778 cases of not wearing masks, not following physical distance, and crowd gathering have been registered.
Odd even system has been implemented in Sarojini Nagar Market.
In view of increasing cases of Covid-19, the Delhi government has allowed Sarojini Nagar Market to operate on an odd-even basis on December 25 and 26 in view of the huge rush in the markets in the last few days. It was also decided that all shopkeepers would ensure 100 percent immunization of their employees in the vaccination camp set up in the market. In the last few days, huge crowds were seen in Sarojini Nagar Market, about which the High Court had also expressed its displeasure.
79 cases of omicron have been registered in Delhi.
It may be noted that the Omicron variant of Covid-19 is spreading rapidly. So far, 415 people have been infected in 17 states with this variant across the country, out of which 79 infected were from Delhi. The Health Ministry has reported that 115 people infected with Omicron have recovered in the country. A sigh of relief is that this variant has not caused a single death in the country so far.
