Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday announced free Covid-19 vaccine for citizens of Delhi in the government hospitals. While presenting the Delhi Budget 2021-22 in the state assembly, Sisodia, who also holds the finance portfolio in the Aam Aadmi Party government in the national capital, allocated Rs 50 crore for free vaccination drive in Delhi govt hospitals.
"COVID-19 vaccines will be available free of cost for people of Delhi in government hospitals in the UT, we have allotted Rs 50 crores budget for the same," Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said. he added that soon, vaccination will be increased from 45,000 to 60,000 per day.
Sisodia on Monday unveiled the first paperless and the 7th Delhi budget in the state assembly. While presenting the budget, Sisodia introduced it as 'Deshbhakti Budget' in view of the Centre's celebrations of India's 75 years of independence with 75 weeks as 'Deshbhakti Mahotsav' starting on March 12. This Budget will focus on India's 75 as well as 100 years of independence.

Sisodia while announcing the budget said that the Delhi govt is aiming towards making Delhi’s per capita income equivalent to Singapore’s per capita income by 2047. A growth of 16% in the income would be required to successfully achieve this goal. It will be difficult but we will work towards making it a success
Delhi will have its first Sainik School alongside Delhi Armed Forces preparatory academy where besides regular studies, students will be acquainted with NDA coaching. Sisodia also announced hundred specialised schools of excellence across the national capital
Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP govt to start ‘Women Mohalla Clinics’ next year. These clinics will give health services specifically to women.
The Delhi budget 2021 also included roadmap to improve sports infrastructure. Sisodia said that the AAP govt has dreamt of hosting the Olympic Games in the national capital 25 years from now when India achieves 100 years of Independence.
