New Delhi: The national capital on Wednesday recorded 1,354 fresh cases of COVID-19. With 1,486 recoveries and 1 death in the last 24 hours, the tally of active caseload reached 5,853. The positivity rate for Wednesday saw a rise to 7.64 per cent compared to 5.97 per cent the previous day. There were more than 1400 cases in Delhi yesterday, in such a situation there has been a slight decline. But the number of testing has been reduced in the capital, so this is also one of the reasons for fewer cases.
During the last 24 hours, 17,732 tests have been done in Delhi. Out of this, 15400 RTPCR and 2332 antigen tests have been done. At the same time, the infection rate remains a matter of concern in Delhi.
According to the Health Department, 4319 patients are treated in home isolation. At the same time, 186 patients are admitted to the hospital. There are 65 patients admitted to ICU, 60 on oxygen support and five on ventilators.

At the same time, cases of the new XE variant of coronavirus in India have increased the concern of the people. Especially in view of the increasing cases in the capital Delhi, the situation remains even more worrying.
For the past several days, there has been a spurt in the cases. In view of the increasing infection, doctors of top hospitals in Delhi have expressed apprehension that in the coming 10 to 15 days, the cases in Delhi will be at their peak, but soon after that, they will start decreasing.
