Covid-19 Infected Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat Hospitalised In Dehradun
Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat had tested positive for Covid-19 on December 18, following which, he isolated himself on doctors’ advice.

News Agency ANI cited state's CMO saying "Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has been admitted to Doon Hospital in Dehradun."
Rawat had tested positive for Covid-19 on December 18, following which, he isolated himself on doctors’ advice. Tweeting about his condition, he had requested all those who had come in contact with him to isolate themselves and also get tested.
"I had got Covid test done. And my report has come positive. My health condition is fine and I don’t have any symptoms too. On the advice of doctors, I will remain in home isolation. I request all those who have come into contact with me in last few days, to isolate themselves and get themselves tested," Rawat tweeted earlier this month.
Many senior government functionaries, including Home Minister Amit Shah, have also tested Covid-19 positive throughout the year.

Trivendra Singh Rawat has closely worked with former BJP chief Amit Shah in Western UP during 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He first won the Doiwala assembly seat in 2002 and was state agriculture minister in 2007-2012.
Rawat won Doiwala defeating Hira Singh Bisht of Congress by 24,869 votes in 2017 Uttarakhand state assembly polls, and was elected as state Chief Minister.
He is considered as one of the prominent leaders because of his strong RSS background and long experience in ministerial positions.
