New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) IT wing in-charge Amit Malviya on Saturday slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and alleged that Rahul was deliberately attempting to rip his colleague’s shirt. Amit Malviya shared a picture on his official Twitter handle, saying, "After Priyanka Vadra’s twist a hand moment, here is another one. Rahul Gandhi tearing his colleague Deepender Hooda’s shirt so that it made for a good protest picture and Delhi police could be blamed for high handedness. The Gandhi siblings are strong votary of tamasha politics."
On Friday, the Congress party held a nationwide protest against the central government on the issue of inflation and unemployment. During this, leaders including protesting Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were detained and were released in the evening.
The policemen were trying to take Deepender Hooda with them. During this, the tussle continued for a long time and the Congress workers present on the spot kept raising slogans against the police and the BJP.

Meanwhile, party general secretary Jairam Ramesh tweeted on Wednesday, "Home Minister has made a desperate attempt to divert, distract, polarise and give a malicious twist to today's democratic protests of @INCIndia against price rise, unemployment & GST. It's only a sick mind which can produce such bogus arguments. Clearly the protests have hit home!"
Congress leaders in black clothes took to the streets and raised slogans against the government. Congress-ruled Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh also witnessed widespread protests where Congress workers demonstrated against inflation.
