Chandigarh: In view of the unprecedented surge in Covid-19 cases, the Haryana Government on Sunday announced a complete lockdown in the state for seven days beginning tomorrow.


Haryana’s Home and Health Minister Anil Vij made the announcement on Twitter.


“From May 3 which is Monday, full lockdown has been imposed in Haryana,” he posted.

This comes as Haryana on Saturday reported over 13,000 fresh infections and at least 125 people succumbed to the virus.


There are over 4,000 active cases in the state where the tally has crossed over five lakh.
