Maharashtra Records 263 Fresh COvid-19 Cases, Two Deaths

Maharashtra on Friday recorded 263 new coronavirus infections and two pandemic-related deaths, the state health department said.


The state's COVID-19 caseload rose to 78,80,337 and death toll reached 1,47,853. Meanwhile, Mumbai recorded 155 new cases and one death on Friday. Another fatality was reported from neighbouring Thane district.

 At least 11 schools in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal city received bomb hoax emails, keeping the city police on their toes on Friday, an official said.


The schools, mainly affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), passed on the information to the police during the day, following which policemen with sniffer dogs and bomb disposal teams went to some schools and checked them thoroughly only to find nothing, the official told news agency PTI.

Bus Carrying Vaishno Devi Pilgrims Catches Fire On Jammu-Katra Highway, 2 Critically Injured

A fire broke out in a bus full of passengers on the Jammu-Katra highway. The bus was going from Katra to Jammu. Police reached the spot and rescue operation continued. Some passengers were rescued while the condition of two is said to be critical. The injured are being treated at the Katra government hospital.


Passengers going to Vaishno Devi were on the bus.

UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan passed away on Friday, May 13, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs announced.

D-company case suspects to be produced before NIA Special Court today

NIA arrests 2 suspects, namely Arif Abubakar Shaikh (59 y/o) & Shakeel Shaikh alias Chhota Shakeel (51 y/o), in the D-company case, involving Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar & his associates, ANI reported. The suspects will be produced before the NIA Special Court today for seeking Police custody.

PM Modi To Unveil Madhya Pradesh's Start-Up Policy Tomorrow


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the startup policy of Madhya Pradesh through a video conference on Friday. He will also address the startup community on this occasion. Representatives of 500 start-ups and 1500 youth will be present in the program along with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh.


Madhya Pradesh Startup Conclave is being organized in Indore, MP on May 13, Madhya Pradesh Startup Conclave-2022 will be organised at Brilliant Convention Center in Indore and the event will be inaugurated by PM Modi.


Madhya Pradesh Government is going to implement Start-up Policy to promote a business-friendly environment for start-up units in the state.


Udaipur Is All Set For Congress 'Chintan Shivir'


Preparations are in the last stage for the Congress Chintan Shivir to be held in Udaipur on May 13. The camp will be organised from May 13-15. The workers are working vigorously to make the Chintan Shivir historic.

Delhi Staring At Water Crisis From Friday


Water supply will be affected in some areas of the national capital Delhi from Friday morning. These include many areas like Civil Lines of the North, Bada Hindu Rao, and Kamla Nagar.


"Haryana is releasing less water in the river due to which the water level at the Wazirabad pond has dropped to a critical low of 671.80 feet, as against the normal level of 674.5 feet. Several areas in Delhi may face a water crisis," an official said.


Water supply will be affected in different areas of Delhi from Friday morning itself, said Delhi Jal Board. According to the DJB, the water supply at Wazirabad Water Works will be affected to maintain the normal level of the Yamuna pond.


IMD Issues Yellow Alert In Delhi As Heatwave Sweeps India


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has given a yellow alarm, cautioning of a heatwave at most places in the capital on Friday and Saturday. An orange alarm has been given to alert individuals about a serious heatwave on Sunday.


The most extreme temperature at the Safdarjung Observatory, Delhi's base station, rose to 42.5 degrees Celsius. It was 41.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.


The most extreme temperature at Najafgarh (44.7 degrees Celsius), Mungeshpur (45.4 degrees Celsius) and Pitampura (44 degrees Celsius) settled somewhere around five degrees Celsius above ordinary temperature.
