Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: Aam Admi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday addressed a 'Jansabha' in East Delhi's Trilokpuri Assembly constituency, where he urged the voters to cast ballots mindfully and warned them to not press the wrong button, referring to the BJP's lotus symbol.

While addressing the election rally in Trilokpuri, the former Delhi Chief Minister stopped his speech midway after he heard the sound of 'azaan' (call for prayer). He maintained silence until the 'azaan' was over, and resumed his speech after a nearly two-minute pause once it ended. Kejriwal on Wednesday held poll rallies in Laxmi Nagar and Patparganj as well.

The AAP supremo attacked the opposition BJP and said that if the people of Delhi voted for the saffron party, they would land in trouble as he claimed that that all free facilities would be discontinued.

"Ten years ago, you entrusted me with the responsibility of Delhi and made me the Chief Minister. Together, we worked a lot. Back then, there used to be power cuts for eight hours a day, but now electricity is available 24 hours. In none of the 20 BJP-ruled states do they have 24-hour electricity. Don't press the wrong button on February 5. If you press the lotus button on the voting day, the power will go out by the time you reach home," Kejriwal said.

"In Gujarat, a 200-unit electricity bill costs ₹2000. In Delhi, there is no bill. If you press the wrong button, you will end up paying ₹5000 just for electricity," he added.

He further claimed that the BJP would even end the free education in the city if it is voted to power. "Anurag Thakur, their minister, has announced that if the BJP comes to power, free education will be stopped. Do you want that to happen? If you press the wrong button, your children's future will be destroyed. Press the 'broom' button to save them," Kejriwal said.

He also went on to allege that the BJP plans to discontinue free bus rides for women and shut down Mohalla Clinics, which would put an end to free healthcare services.

"If you press the wrong button (referring to the BJP's lotus symbol), your children's future will be ruined. When they grow up, they will blame you for voting for the wrong party," the AAP chief said.

Kejriwal further promised that if the AAP is re-elected, his party would implement all schemes that were announced in its manifesto, including a monthly grant to women. "I call myself a 'brother of all women,' and every month, I will celebrate Rakhi by giving them Rs 2,100 as a gift," he said.

He also promised to provide free bus services and discounted metro rides to students, including male students. "BJP says free bus travel should end. If the wrong button is pressed, free bus services will stop, and you will need at least ₹2000...I save you at least ₹15,000 to ₹20,000," he said.

Kejriwal also reiterated his promise of giving Rs 18,000 to priests and granthis. The AAP supremo also spoke about the Sanjeevani scheme, promising free treatment for senior citizens. He further ensured that old sewer lines would be replaced and that tenants would get free electricity and water benefits.
