"Such behavior with our sportspersons who increase the honor of the country is very wrong and condemnable," Kejriwal tweeted.


"Strongly condemn the way Delhi Police manhandled Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and other wrestlers. It’s shameful our champions are treated in this manner. Democracy lies in tolerance but autocratic forces thrive on intolerance and quelling of dissent. I demand they be immediately released by police. I stand by our wrestlers," Mamata wrote

Won't accept Deputy Assembly Speaker post, says K'taka Cong MLA Puttarangashetty

Senior Congress leader C Puttarangashetty, whose name has been cleared by the party for the position of Deputy Speaker of the Karnataka Assembly, on Sunday refused to accept the post. 'Orange' Alert Issued For Parts Of Rajasthan As Thunderstorms, Gusty Winds Expected Today


The meteorological department issued an 'orange' alert for parts of Rajasthan on Saturday, warning of intense thunderstorms and thundersqualls on May 28-29, news agency PTI reported citing officials.


It has also issued a 'yellow' alert for May 30 and 31, according to officials. Heavy rain and hailstorms with gusty winds are expected in parts of Rajasthan on May 28-29 as a result of a new western disturbance, according to a Met department official.


The weather service has issued a 'orange' alert for the districts of Jaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer, and Bharatpur, where intense thunderstorms and thundersqualls with speeds of up to 50-60 kmph are expected, according to an official.


Winds up to 70 kmph are also possible, as well as heavy rain and hailstorms in some areas. According to officials, heavy rains are possible on May 28 in the districts of Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer, and Jaipur.


China’s First Self-Developed Aircraft To Make Its Maiden Commercial Flight On Sunday: 


China's first indigenously built passenger aircraft, the C919, will take its first commercial flight on Sunday, according to a media report on Friday. 


The initial customer, state-owned China Eastern Airlines (CEA), will fly the plane's first commercial flight from Shanghai to Beijing on May 28, according to state-run CGTN TV. The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) developed the C919, which was granted a type certificate by the Civil Aviation Administration of China last September.


On December 26, 2022, CEA conducted a 100-hour verification flight for its first C919 aircraft to verify and confirm the aircraft's operational safety.


Noida Metro To Begin Operations Early Today For Civil Service Exam Aspirants: 


The Noida-Greater Noida Metro will begin passenger service at 6 AM. on Sunday instead of 8 AM, officials announced on Friday.


The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold a preliminary examination for civil services 2023 on May 28 (Sunday).


"The Noida Metro Rail Corporation will start passenger carriage services from 6 am at an interval of 15 minutes instead of 8 am on May 28 to facilitate civil services exam aspirants," NMRC Managing Director Ritu Maheshwari said in a statement.
