A raid was conducted by a team of STF Bhubaneswar yesterday with the help of Nayagarh District Police at Itamati under Itamati PS in Odisha against illegal transportation of Narcotic drugs and apprehended two accused.

Karnataka Cabinet Expansion Today:


A week after taking power in Karnataka, the Congress released a list of 24 legislators who will be sworn in as ministers on May 26 to fill all vacant ministerial positions. According to Congress leaders, the cabinet expansion will take place on Saturday noon with their swearing-in ceremony.


Karnataka's government can have up to 34 ministers. While ten of them were sworn in on March 20, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy D K Shivakumar, the rest will be inducted on Saturday.


On Saturday, senior MLA H K Patil, Krishna Byregowda, N Cheluvarayaswamy, K Venkatesh, Dr H C Mahadevappa, Congress working president Eshwar Khandre, and former Congress president Dinesh Gundu Rao will take the oath.


Bengal CM Mamata Likely To Visit Blast-Affected Village On Saturday: 


West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is expected to visit Khadikul village in Purba Medinipur district on Saturday to meet with family members of those killed in an explosion at an illegal firecracker manufacturing unit, as well as assess the situation, news agency PTI reported citing a senior police officer.


Following her visit, the Trinamool Congress supremo will participate in the party's mass outreach programme 'Trinamool-e naba-jowar' (new wave in Trinamool) at Salboni in Paschim Medinipur district, where party MP Abhishek Banerjee will also be present, he added.


Delhi CM Kejriwal To Meet Telangana CM Today: 


Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet with his Telangana counterpart K Chandrashekar Rao in Hyderabad on Saturday to seek the Bharat Rashtra Samithi's support in opposing the Centre's ordinance on service control in the national capital.


Kejriwal, who is also the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, has been reaching out to leaders of non-BJP parties to rally their support against the ordinance so that the Centre's attempt to replace it with a bill is defeated in Parliament.
