Manik Saha To Take Oath As Tripura CM
A senior BJP leader said that the council of ministers in Tripura, which is led by Manik Saha, will take the oath of office and secrecy on Wednesday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda have already arrived in Tripura to join the swearing in ceremony of the BJP-led government “Manik Saha will take oath as the chief minister of the state for the second time at the Vivekananda ground. The PM will participate in the programme,” BJP Tripura unit chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty said.
Around 10.35 a.m., Modi is expected to arrive from Guwahati.
“This is the first time that any anti-Left government has retained power in the northeastern state in the past three decades. We hope the BJP 2.0 government will meet the aspirations of the people,” Chakraborty said.
The Congress-TUJS formed the government after defeating the Left in the border state in 1988 and losing to the Communists in 1993.
In the most recent assembly elections in Tripura, the BJP won 32 of the 60 seats in the House, while its ally IPFT only managed to win one seat.
Light To Moderate Rainfall Recorded In Several Parts Of Rajasthan, More Likely On Wednesday
A spokesperson for the weather department stated that up until Tuesday morning, several areas of Rajasthan experienced light to moderate rainfall, thunder, and hailstorms, reported PTI.
It stated that Chechat in Kota received the most precipitation, 25 millimeters, followed by 15 millimeters in Bhungra in Banswara, 14 millimeters in Jawai Dam in Pali, 12 millimeters in Sajjangarh in Banswara, and 11 millimeters in both Bagidora and Pidawa in Jhalawar, Kota.
In addition, up to 10 millimeters of rainfall was recorded in other locations.
