PM Modi To Inaugurate Vanijya Bhawan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday will inaugurate the new campus of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry - 'Vanijya Bhawan' and also launch a new portal. The Prime Minister's Office said that through this portal, stakeholders will be able to get all the necessary information related to India's foreign trade at one place.
The name of the portal is Export (National Import-Export Record for Annual Analysis of Business).
The Prime Minister's Office said that the new campus near India Gate has been designed as a smart building, with a special focus on saving energy.
The building will be used by two departments of the ministry - the Department of Commerce and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
Union Minister Amit Shah To Address National Conclave On Urban Cooperative Banks
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address a national conference on Urban Co-operative Banks on Thursday. The future role of the country's urban cooperative credit sector will be discussed in this conference. Various issues related to scheduled and multi-state urban cooperative banks and credit societies will be discussed in the conference, an official statement said.
During this, those urban cooperative banks will also be honored, which have completed 100 years of social service. There are 197 such banks in the country.
Minister of State for Cooperation BL Verma, President of National Federation of Urban Cooperative Banks and Credit Societies (NAFCUB) HK Patil and senior officials of the Ministry will also be present at the event.
