BJP Odisha Legislature Party To Meet On Tuesday To Choose CM

The BJP legislature party of Odisha is scheduled to hold a meeting on Tuesday to elect the new chief minister of the state and the new government will take oath the next day, according to senior party leader.

The chance of senior Odisha MP Dharmendra Pradhan becoming the next CM of the state appears bleak after his induction into the Modi 3.0 government. Now, the focus is on Brajarajnagar MLA-elect Suresh Pujari, who returned from New Delhi on Monday.

Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, the BJP's Odisha in-charge, said, "The legislature party meeting will be held on Tuesday and the new government will take oath on June 12." “Experienced leaders led by newly-appointed observers Rajnath Singh and Bhupender Yadav will discuss with the legislators,” Pujari said, PTI report.

TDP Legislature Party To Meet On June 11 To Elect Chandrababu Naidu As Their Leader

A Telugu Desam Party spokesperson announced that the party's Legislature Meeting is scheduled for June 11th, during which N Chandrababu Naidu will be elected as the leader. The meeting is expected to occur on Tuesday morning, as stated by Jyotshna Tirunagari.

After this internal election, representatives from the NDA, including TDP, BJP, and Janasena, plan to meet Governor S Abdul Nazeer to assert their intention to form the government.

As per the news agency PTI, Tirunagari mentioned that the Governor might extend an invitation to form the government by Tuesday evening. Further, additional leaders could be sworn in alongside Naidu on Wednesday.

Naidu is set to take the oath as Chief Minister at 11:27 am at Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram Airport. Tirunagari added that the list of leaders to be sworn in with Naidu might be finalized on Tuesday night.

The NDA achieved a significant victory in the recent Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the southern state.
