A 35-year-old grandson of former MLA late Kedar Singh was beaten to death in a village under Kopaganj Police Station area here, police said on Sunday, reported PTI.

The army has shot dead two terrorists near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, officials said on Sunday.
The terrorists were killed in the Balakote sector of the district late Saturday, they said.
The officials said army personnel noticed suspicious movement at a forward village and opened fire. The two terrorists were neutralised, they said.
The bodies of the slain terrorists were found when the army launched a search operation in the area this morning, the officials said. (PTI)

Much-Awaited Himachal Cabinet Expansion Takes Place Today:
Former chief minister Virbhadhra Singh's son Vikramaditya Singh and eldest MLA Dhani Ram Shandil are among the seven new legislators set to be welcomed into the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet on Sunday, news agency PTI reported citing party sources.
Sandil (82) defeated his son-in-law in the Solan assembly seat, while Vikramaditya was elected from Shimla Rural.
In addition, Harshwardhan Singh Chauhan, a five-time MLA from Shillai, will be sworn in, according to top party sources on Saturday. Chander Kumar, Jagat Singh Negi, and Rohit Thakur, all five-term MLAs, will also take their oaths as ministers on Sunday, they added.
The new ministers will be sworn in at the Raj Bhavan in Shimla on January 8 at 10 am, according to PTI, citing sources.
Delhi-NCR To Be Colder Than Himachal, Uttarakhand, 'Orange' Alert Issued For Sunday:
On Saturday, a severe cold wave crippled north India, including Delhi, with the minimum temperature in parts of the capital dropping to a bone-chilling 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The Safdarjung observatory, Delhi's primary weather station, recorded a minimum temperature of 2.2 degrees Celsius, which is lower than the minimum temperature in most regions in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, as well as certain hill stations in Jammu and Kashmir.
The minimum temperature at the Ridge weather station in downtown Delhi was freezing 1.5 degrees Celsius due to a severe cold blast. Only a few sites in Rajasthan reported a lower minimum temperature, including Vanasthali (1.7 degrees Celsius), Sikar (1 degree Celsius), Pilani (0.6 degree Celsius), and Churu (0 degree Celsius).
The weather service defines "extremely deep" fog as visibility between 0 and 50 metres, "dense" fog as visibility between 51 and 200 metres, "moderate" fog as visibility between 201 and 500 metres, and "shallow" fog as visibility between 501 and 1,000 metres.
According to the India Meteorological Department, Delhi was colder than Chamba (5.8 degrees), Dalhousie (8.3 degrees), Dharamshala (9.2 degrees), Shimla (7.8 degrees), Hamirpur (3.9 degrees), Manali (4 degrees), Kangra (5.6 degrees), Solan (3 degrees), Dehradun (6 degrees), Mussoorie (8.1 degrees), and Nainital (5.8 degrees) (IMD).
The maximum temperature in several parts of the capital was at least seven degrees below average, indicating a very cold day.
AISSEE 2023 Exam To Be Held On Sunday:
NTA will hold the Sainik School admission exam 2023 Today at 2 pm for classes 6 and 9. Class 6 exams will end at 4:30 p.m., and class 9 exams will last until 5 p.m. The candidate should arrive at the exam centre by 1:30 p.m.
On January 5, 2023, the agency issued the AISSEE admit card 2023 for Classes 6 and 9. Students must bring a printout of their Sainik school admission card to the exam hall.
The Examination Center will open two hours before the exam begins. Candidates must arrive at the exam centre by 1:30 pm with their admission card.
