Jharkhand CM To Distribute First Installment Of Abua Awas Yojana Today


Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren will distribute acceptance letters and first installments to 24,827 Kolhan region families as part of the first phase of the Abua Awas (housing) Yojana.


According to an official statement here, the government has identified 1,05,810 families from East Singhbhum district, 1,03,319 families from West Singhbhum, and 83,495 families from Seraikela-Kharswan district among the 2,92,624 families who applied for the scheme in the Kolhan region.


In the first phase, the CM will hand over 24,827 letters of acceptance in Kolhan division to 8,138 families from East Singhbhum district, West Singhbhum (10,252), and Seraikela-Kharswan district (6,437), along with the first installment of Rs 30,000 each, which will be transferred to their bank accounts via DBT.


Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren launched the scheme on November 15 to provide houses for the homeless and those who were denied benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).


Under this flagship scheme, beneficiaries will receive Rs 2 lakh in four installments to build a three-room house in stages. An official stated that the construction will be completed within 12 months.


The scheme also includes provisions for assistance in building toilets through the Swachh Bharat Mission Rural or the combination of other dedicated sources.


Power Shutdown In Parts Of Chennai On Friday


The scheduled maintenance work in parts of the city will lead to a temporary suspension of power supply from 9 am to 2 pm on Friday.


In Madambakkam, the affected areas include Anantha Nagar, Park Street, Susila Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Anbu Nagar, Vengaivasal Main Road, Velachery Main Road, Anjaneyar Kovil Street, Indira Nagar, Sriram Nagar, Kannadasan Avenue. Pallikaranai residents in Kakithapuram, S. Kolathur, Bhakyalakshmi Nagar, Raja Nagar, Krishna Nagar, Bhavani Street, Vetter Lane, Officers Lane, New Sandai Road, and Perumbakkam in Solinganallur, Erikarai Road, Velachery Main Road, Ranganathapuram, Pudunagar, and Masuthi Street will also experience power suspension.


Power supply will be suspended in Pallavaram, affecting Rajaji Nagar, Eswari Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Ganapathi Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, and surrounding areas. In Thiruvanmiyur, Kamarajar Nagar 1st to 3rd West Street, Western Avenue, Kamarajar Nagar 1st Main Road, Ranganathapuram, Periyar Nagar, Valluvar Nagar will face the temporary power cut.


Ramapuram, Nandambakkam, KK Nagar, Porur, and Ambattur are among the areas with planned power suspensions for maintenance work during the specified hours on Friday.
