Unit 5 Of Mumbai Crime Branch Arrests 3 People For Selling Drugs, Seize Two Vehicles Fill With Ganja

The Mumbai Crime Branch's Unit 5 apprehended three individuals involved in transporting drugs from other states to Mumbai for distribution. Authorities confiscated two vehicles loaded with ganja, seizing approximately 374 kilograms valued at Rs 1.12 crore in the international market. The Crime Branch has filed charges against the three suspects under the NDPS Act and impounded four additional vehicles. Investigations into the matter are ongoing, as reported by ANI.





Chhattisgarh: CRPF Dooms Naxalites' Conspiracy, Recovers 8 KG IED In Bijapur

Soldiers from the CRPF 222 battalion successfully thwarted a plot by Naxalites and recovered an 8 kg IED in the Bijapur district. The recovered explosive device was promptly destroyed on-site by detonation. The Naxalites had planted the IED with the intent to harm soldiers, as reported by ANI.

Breaking News LIVE: Miscreants Fire Bullets Outside East Delhi House, Flee In Scooty Without Number Plate

t around 11:16 pm, two boys on a scooty fired multiple rounds outside a house in Yamuna Vihar. No one was injured. Several empty shells and a live round of 7.65 mm were recovered from the spot. A complaint has been registered. Further investigation is in progress.

PM Modi To Lay Foundation Stone Of AIIMS In Haryana's Rewari Today: 


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the groundwork for an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Haryana's Rewari on Friday and dedicate six such hospitals in Jammu, Rajkot, Bathinda, Kalyani, Mangalagiri, and Rae Bareli to the country over the next nine days.


The total cost incurred by the Centre for these seven hospitals exceeds Rs 10,000 crore, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya stated on Thursday.


"Till 2014, the nation had six AIIMS in seven decades and in the next 10 days, the country will get seven AIIMS," he told reporters.


The AIIMS-Rewari, which will cost around Rs 1,650 crore to build, will be located on 203 acres of land in Majra Mustil Bhalkhi village.


On Friday, Modi will visit Rewari to lay the foundation stone for the AIIMS.


The AIIMS-Rewari will include a hospital complex with 720 beds, a medical college with 100 seats, a nursing college with 60 seats, an AYUSH block with 30 beds, residential housing for faculty and staff, hostel accommodation for undergraduate and postgraduate students, a night shelter, a guesthouse, and so on.


Priyanka To join Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Today As It Enters Uttar Pradesh: 


Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress general secretary, will join Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra as it enters Uttar Pradesh on Friday evening, according to sources.


She will meet her brother in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh, after the yatra arrives from Bihar, according to sources.


Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi is leading the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Mumbai. The yatra is currently in Bihar, where Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will address a large rally in Aurangabad on Thursday.


Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra entered its 33rd day on Thursday and will come to an end in Bihar's Sasaram that night.


According to Ramesh, the yatra will begin on Friday evening in Uttar Pradesh, the key Hindi heartland state with the most MPs in the Lok Sabha.


Charges Likely To Be Framed Against Senthil Balaji On Feb 16: 


A city court on Thursday dismissed a petition filed by former Tamil Nadu Minister V Senthil Balaji to postpone the trial in a money laundering case filed against him by the Enforcement Directorate. Senthil Balaji's remand was extended by Principal Sessions Judge (PSJ) S Alli until February 16, after the prosecution produced him via video conferencing (VC) from central prison here.


"Accused was created through VC. Charges are due by February 16, 2024. Until then, the accused was brought forward in person. "The remand has been extended until then," the judge added.


The court does not find merit in deferring the trial as requested by the petitioner/accused, and this petition was filed to prolong the proceedings, which should be dismissed, the judge added.
