The early trends show YSRC supporters made a near-clean sweep capturing the majority of the seats in most of the 12 districts.
In a Kisan Mahapanchayat rally in Saharanpur, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra went on the offensive as she attacked the present government at hand and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Congress General Secretary said that PM Modi's heart beats only for capitalists. "Inside the 56-inch chest, there is only a small heart which beats for few capitalists," Priyanka said while taking a jibe at PM Modi. "Congress will scrap new farm laws if voted to power," Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also said at the rally in UP's Saharanpur.
Amid the agitation against the Agri laws, Congress on Wednesday launched its outreach campaign in Uttar Pradesh with Priyanka Gandhi at the forefront.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSR Congress Party managed to win 2,319 seats so far while the Bharatiya Janata Party and Telugu Desam Party supporters failed miserably. As many as 7,506 candidates were in the fray for sarpanch posts while 43,601 contested for ward members.
As per the latest data available, results for 292 out of 296 sarpanch posts have been declared which went for polling in the first phase of gram panchayat elections in Anakapalle revenue division in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.
Besides, Panchayat, elections were also held to elect 20,157 ward members, of which, 3,249 panchayats went for polling in the first phase. Media reports suggest that 525 had already been unanimously elected and no nomination was filed for a village in Nellore district.

In another major development, the counting of votes for the first phase of polling for 2,723 panchayats in Andhra Pradesh is underway. The counting of votes commenced at 4 pm yesterday and results for all the seats is likely to be announced today. The State Election Commission said the first phase of polling in the state ended peacefully with 81.78 per cent turnout on Tuesday. The SEC, however, did not provide the total number of eligible voters.
