UP Winter Assembly Session Begins Today
The state administration will propose its supplementary budget for 2022–2023 during the Uttar Pradesh Assembly's Winter Session, which starts on Monday, according to authorities. They stated that this is the third session of the year and would probably have three sittings, news agency PTI reported.
An all-party meeting was conducted here on Sunday before to the session. Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were not present during the meeting.
In the presence of Speaker Satish Mahana, SP MLA Manoj Pandey revealed to PTI that his party's desire to pay tribute to SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav during the session has been granted.
"There will be no question hour tomorrow and a resolution will be passed to condole Yadav's death," Pandey said.
Centre Approves Electoral Bonds Sale And Issuance Through 29 SBI Branches From Dec 5-12
Centre has approved the sale and issuance of electoral bonds through 29 SBI branches from December 5 to 12. Ministry of Finance in a press release on Saturday said, "State Bank of India (SBI), in the 24th phase of sale, has been authorised to issue and encash Electoral Bonds through its 29 authorized branches from 5th to 12th December."
As per provisions of the Scheme, Electoral Bonds may be purchased by a person, who is a citizen of India or incorporated or established in India.
"The Electoral Bonds shall be valid for fifteen calendar days from the date of issue and no payment shall be made to any payee Political Party if the Electoral Bond is deposited after expiry of the validity period. The Electoral Bond deposited by an eligible Political Party in its account shall be credited on the same day," the Ministry of Finance said.
SC To Hear Plea Seeking Lifetime Ban On Convicts From Contesting Polls
The Supreme Court will hear tomorrow a plea seeking to debar convicted Members of Parliament and State Legislative Assemblies from contesting elections for life.
The Supreme Court will also hear tomorrow a plea to declare all national and regional political parties "public authorities" to bring them under the ambit of the Right to Information (RTI) Act. (ANI)

Three leopard cubs were found abandoned in a field in Pathardi village of Nashik, Maharashtra. They were rescued and reunited with their mother. "The area was cordoned off to keep the cubs safe. Later, the mother leopard took the cubs away," said Pankaj Garg, Dy Conservator of Forests, Nashik (West).

Ajmal Should Pay For Kids' Expenses If Women Give Birth To More Children: Assam CM Himanta
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has alleged that AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal is making certain statements just to appease a certain section of the society for vote bank politics. "Badruddin Ajmal had said that women should continue to give birth to as many children as possible, but I say that if women give birth to more children, then Ajmal should nurture the children till they grow up and pay for their expenses," Himanta Biswa Sarma said in Bongaigaon on Monday.
"If a woman gives birth to many children, it will affect her physically, it will also affect our society, and Assam will be destroyed....A woman is not a factory for childbirth," he said. (ANI)
BSF Brings Down Pakistani Drone Carrying Drugs
On the intervening night of December 3 and 4, the BSF observed a drone entering from Pakistan into the Indian territory along the international border in the Amristar sector. "The drone fell down after being fired on. The drone was carrying two packets, each carrying 1kg heroin and 100 g opium," said Jasbir Singh, BSF commandant.
