Government does not propose to stop the use of nuclear energy in the future and has approved building 10 atomic power reactors at a cost of Rs 1.05 lakh crore by 2031, the Lok Sabha was informed on Wednesday. "No, sir," Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh said in response to a question from BSP member Malook Nagar who sought to know whether the government proposes to completely stop the use of nuclear energy in future and develop conventional energy sources in a phased manner.

The indictment against Trump has been unsealed and made public, CNN reported. Prosecutors alleged Trump was part of an unlawful plan to suppress negative information, including an illegal payment of $130,000 that was ordered by the defendant to suppress the negative information that would hurt his campaign. The reason he committed the crime of falsifying business records was in part to "promote his candidacy", the indictment alleges.

The case pertains to hush money payments to a porn star, Stormy Daniels, 44, who has said she had a sexual relationship with him. Trump has denied the affair. 


The investigation by the Manhattan district attorney’s office began when Trump was still in the White House and relates to a USD 130,000 payment made by his then-personal attorney Michael Cohen to Daniels in late October 2016, days before the presidential election, to silence her from going public about an alleged affair with Trump a decade earlier.


Trump also faces more than 30 counts related to business fraud in the indictment.

Former US President Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts in a Manhattan court after hearing charges against him, according to a CNN report. The charges stem from an investigation into a hush money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.


Supreme Court To Hear Plea Of 14 Parties Led By Congress On April 5


The Supreme Court will hear a petition filed by 14 parties on Wednesday, led by the Congress, alleging arbitrary use of central investigative agencies against opposition leaders and seeking future guidelines.


The petition of opposition parties will be heard on April 5 by a three-judge bench led by Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud, according to the list of businesses posted on the apex court website.


The bench also includes Justices P S Narasimha and J B Pardiwala. Senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi called the joint petition for an urgent hearing on March 24.


The senior lawyer mentioned the increase in the number of cases filed by the CBI and ED since the NDA government took power in 2014.


According to the plea, there is an alarming increase in the use of coercive criminal processes against opposition political leaders and other citizens exercising their fundamental right to dissent.


Gangster Deepak 'Boxer' Held In Mexico, Likely To Reach Delhi Early Wednesday: 


Deepak "Boxer," one of India's most wanted fugitives, was attempting to enter the US illegally through Mexico and planned to run his organised crime gang in Delhi and neighbouring states from there before being apprehended, news agency PTI reported. 


HGS Dhaliwal, Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), stated that the gangster, a national-level boxing champion, had taken multiple routes and stops to reach Mexico on his way to the United States ("donkey" method). But he got caught in the police net.


It was the first time that Delhi Police apprehended a gangster outside of the country.


The police had announced a Rs 3 lakh reward for information leading to Deepak's arrest, who led the Gogi gang, which is allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
