Vice President Dhankar To Visit Gurugram Today:
The Gurugram district administration has imposed Section 144 restrictions in Sector 45 in preparation for a visit by Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday.
Dhankar is expected to attend an event at the Sarthak Educational Trust in Sector 45 here, according to officials.
In light of the vice president's visit, the Gurugram district magistrate issued Section 144 orders to maintain law and order.
Using the powers granted by Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav has banned protests near the venue as well as the operation of flying objects such as drones or paragliders, according to the order.
MCD's Special Budget Meeting To Be Held On Saturday:
According to an official notice, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has postponed its special budget meeting scheduled for Friday to table revised budget estimates for 2023-24 and budget estimates for 2024-25 to December 9.
The reason for the postponement was not stated in the notice.
The House's special budget meeting has been rescheduled for Saturday. The event will begin at 2 p.m., according to the notice.
MCD Commissioner Gyanesh Bharti was scheduled to present the revised budget estimates at the civic body's headquarters during the special budget meeting.
The BJP condemned the meeting's postponement and claimed that councillors were not given copies of the budget.
"The BJP strongly condemns any move to defer the budget," said MCD Leader Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh.
The annual budget is due by December 10th, according to the MCD calendar.
However, because December 9 and 10 fall on weekends this year, it was decided to present the budget on December 8.
PM Modi To Interact With Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Beneficiaries Today:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) on December 9 via video conferencing, the PMO said.
Thousands of beneficiaries from across the country will join the programme virtually and over two thousand VBSY vans, thousands of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) and Common Service Centres (CSCs) from across the country will also be connected, it said. A large number of Union ministers, MPs, MLAs and local level representatives will also join the event.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being undertaken across the country with the aim to attain the saturation of flagship schemes of the government by ensuring that benefits reach all targeted beneficiaries in a time-bound manner, the statement said.
