ED Attaches Properties Of Rosary Education Group, Partners Worth Rs 47 Cr Under PMLA

The Enforcement Directorate on Monday carried out search operations under provisions of PMLA at 9 locations across Maharashtra in Aurangabad, Akola, and Pune in respect of a money laundering investigation into irregularities in tender allocation of Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana (PMAY) scheme at Aurangabad.


The enforcement agency attached four immovable properties belonging to Rosary Education Group and its partners Vinay Aranha and Vivek Aranha worth Rs 47.1 Crores under the provisions of PMLA, 2002. It was alleged that the accused had obtained a loan of Rs 20.44 Crore from Cosmos Bank by submitting fake documents of property.


The present market value of the attached properties is estimated to be around Rs 98.20 Crores. The attached properties include land and school buildings which are owned in the name of Vinay Aranha and family. Further investigation is going on, reported ANI.

Rahul Gandhi To Visit Karnataka To Kickstart Congress' Poll Campaign On Monday 


Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, will go to poll-bound Karnataka on Monday to attend the "Yuvakranti Samavesha" in Belagavi, the party announced.


The former Congress president will attend the event in Belagavi, northern Karnataka, in light of the Assembly elections scheduled for May, according to a party announcement from Sunday.


According to his schedule, Gandhi would arrive at the airport in Belagavi about 11 am, and after the event, he will travel back to Delhi.


At the "Yuvakranti Samavesha" in Belagavi, which is scheduled for Monday afternoon, the Wayanad MP will also meet with Congress leaders.


Moreover, D K Shivakumar, the president of the Karnataka Congress, will take part in the Yuvakranti Samavesha at Belagavi. The Congressman would next make his way to Kunigal on Tuesday to take part in the "Praja Dhwani" ceremony.


The Congress has pledged to provide 200 free electricity units to all families (Gruha Jyoti), 2,000 rupees a month in aid to the female head of every family (Gruha Lakshmi), and 10 kilogrammes of free grains to every BPL household member (Anna Bhagya).


In the next elections, party officials predict they will gain between 140 and 150 seats in the 224-member Assembly.


Farmers To Stage Protest At Delhi's Ramlila Maidan On March 20


On March 20, thousands of farmers will demonstrate close to Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi in favour of their numerous demands, which include a statutory minimum support price guarantee.


Demands include protecting farmland from corporate takeover, ensuring peasant income, raising consumer spending power, and supporting the Indian economy.


Following numerous rounds of discussions between farmers and police, permission was granted to the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha to organise a demonstration from 10 am to 3.30 pm on March 20.
