CPI(M) Delegation To Visit Manipur From Today
A four-member delegation of the CPI(M) led by party general secretary Sitaram Yechury, will visit Manipur for two days from Friday. The delegation will include the party’s Central Committee members Jitendra Chaudhury, Suprakash Talukdar, and Deblina Hembram, CPI(M) said in a statement on Thursday.
“Apart from the strife-torn areas, the delegation will also visit relief camps at Churachandpur, Moirang and Imphal. The delegation will also meet Governor Anusuiya Uikey and various other civil society organisations,” it informed.
CAPFs Plantation Drive: Shah To Plant 4 Croreth Sapling, Inaugurate 15 CRPF Buildings Today
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will on Friday plant 4 Croreth sapling at Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Group Centre in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida. He will also virtually inaugurate the newly constructed 15 buildings on eight different campuses of CRPF. "The massive, humane and one-of-its-kind initiative, Plantation Drive across the country was launched by the Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah on 12th July 2020," an official release by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) stated.
The MHA highlighted that inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under the leadership of Home Minister Amit Shah, the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) have planted more than 3.55 crore saplings collectively across the Nation in a span of three years from 2020 to 2022.
"The collective target of planting 1.5 Crore saplings by all Central Reserve Police Forces was set for the year 2023, taking the total sapling-plantation to 5 Crore which will be an exemplary contribution of the CAPFs to the overall environmental protection efforts of the Nation. It will also be a symbol of true gratitude to Mother Earth," the statement read.
