T20 World Cup 2022: India To Take On Zimbabwe At Melbourne Cricket Ground
Team India will take on Zimbabwe in the Group 2 Super 12 stage of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday, with one eye on the semifinals. India must win this match if they want to qualify for the semifinals. Pakistan will also play Bangladesh in their last group clash just before the India match. If Bangladesh beat Pakistan, then India will have less pressure on themselves going into the Zimbabwe match. But in case, Pakistan win, India will need to beat Zimbabwe to qualify. Zimbabwe and the Netherlands are the two sides that have been eliminated so far.
Heavy Snowfall Likely Over Kashmir, Says IMD
The rainfall and snowfall activity across the northernmost parts of India is expected to continue over the weekend. A fresh western disturbance, essentially a low-pressure system that originates over the Mediterranean Sea, has moved east towards India, leading to the precipitation over its northern regions from Friday onwards.
As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), this western disturbance will combine with an induced cyclonic circulation located over central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab, and continue producing rain and snow for at least till next Monday. The weather office predicted isolated light to moderate rainfall/snowfall over Uttarakhand and isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall over Kashmir on Sunday.
Bypoll Results To Be Announced Today
Voting for bypolls to seven assembly seats across six states was held on Thursday. Many of these seats are a direct contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and regional parties. The bypolls were held in Andheri East seat in Maharashtra, Munugode in Telangana, Gopalganj and Mokama in Bihar, Adampur in Haryana, Gola Gokarannath in Uttar Pradesh and Dhamnagar in Odisha. The counting of votes for all these seats will be held today, November 6.
