Bank Holidays In December, 2020: With the festive season coming to a close, it’s time to plan your year end holidays and New Year. However, it is also important to note that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has come up with days when the banking operations will remain closed in December, 2020. But remember the bank holidays might vary in states and the same occasion may not be observed by all the banking companies. Such holidays mostly depend on the festivals being observed in the states and based on the notification of specific occasions in those states.

Christmas is celebrated on December 25 (Friday), which is observed as a holiday across the country. RBI considers this day as a Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday.
