New Delhi: One of the most sacred festivals in Sikhism, Guru Nanak Jayanti is the celebration of the birth of the first Sikh guru, Guru Nanak. This festival is celebrated by the Sikh community all over the world and the day starts with the recitation of a 48-hour long verse known as ‘Akhand Path’ from the Guru Granth Sahib across Gurudwaras. Celebrated every year, Guru Nanak Jayanti or Gurupurab this year falls on November 30.

Celebrating this auspicious occasion, Bollywood celebrities including Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Raveena Tandon and others took to their social media and extended warm wishes to everyone.

Amid her busy shooting schedules, Taapsee Pannu managed to visit the Gurudwara. She shared an Instagram story of her visiting Gurudwara and wrote, “Coz it’s his birthday today! #GuruNanakJayanti”



Nimrat Kaur shared a stunning selfie of hers inside a Gurudwara and wrote, “ਗੁਰਪੁਰਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਖ ਲੱਖ ਵਧਾਈਆਂ... Wishing everyone a very very Happy Gurpurab. May the light and teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Sahib bless and guide us towards prosperity and togetherness...”



In another post, 'The Lunchbox' actress shared, "Very fortunate to have the opportunity this year to be at the Gurudwara we’ve now been visiting as a family for 25 years. Needless to say we dearly miss all the festivities, listening to shabad kirtan, having and serving langar and doing seva so so very much...but counting our blessings and praying the next year brings with it all the cheer and celebrations..."
