British sportscar manufacturer has officially teased the arrival of its flagship DB11 GT car, by posting a video that gives a glimpse into the heart (powerplant) of the car. The video starts off as the driver engages the start/stop button, which appears rather inviting, drenched in a red glow. The red glow seems understandably befitting considering the hellfire it unleashes, as this particular Aston Martin, which might be named DB11, restrains a twin-turbocharged V12 engine under the hood.

This is a big step for Aston, as they are breaking away from their tradition of incorporating naturally aspirated engines, but then again the sound alone of this monstrous 5.2-liter V12 coming to life in the video below is enough to send shivers down your spine, which should make up for the wrong that has been done to all the purists out there. This particular unit is expected to be the most powerful engine ever produced by Aston Martin. The power stats are expected to go well over the 600bhp mark and the torque is expected to be around 900Nm. The menacing power plant will probably help Bond’s car fly from 0-100kmph in around 3 seconds. Regardless of your preconceived notions, DB11 will replace the 12 years old DB9 and not the *Spoiler Alert* priceless DB10 that Bond left at the bottom of the river in a chase with Jaguar C-X75, which had Bautista behind the wheel. That car was a V8 vantage S based prototype, which was only developed for the movie, “Spectre”. Speaking of Bond, it will be very hard to not have him embody you, as you watch this 30 second video:
