Mumbai: A special holiday court on Sunday sent ex-Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) officer Riyaz Qazi, a close aide of suspended Mumbai Police assistant inspector Sachin Vaze, to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody till April 16.

This came after the NIA arrested Qazi earlier in the day on charges of destroying important evidence in connection with the Antilia bomb scare case and Thane-based businessman Mansukh Hiren’s murder.
