After Celebrities and Industrialists, Now IndusInd Bank Former MD Romesh Sobti Buys Two Flats In Mumbai Project Worth ₹76 Crore

Both the apartments on 39th and 40th floor, respectively, in the Three Sixty West project, have four spacious bedrooms with a usable carpet area of 5,235 sq ft.

Mumbai, Jul 8: At a time when the realty sector in Mumbai has suffered a blow due to Covid-19, IndusInd Bank former MD Romesh Sobti and his wife managed to lay hands on two sea-view apartments in Oberoi’s super-luxury project in Worli, for over ₹76.30 crore. Both the apartments on 39th and 40th floor, respectively, in Three Sixty West project on Dr. Annie Besant Road. Both the houses have four spacious bedrooms with a usable carpet area of 5,235 sq ft. The combined built-up area is 12,250 sq ft, according to the report in the Economic Times. The apartment on the 39th-floor is spread over 6,201 sq ft and purchased at 11 per cent premium to ready reckoner rates, while a 15 per cent premium was paid for the 40th-floor apartment. Both apartments are in the 65-storey tower which is offering six car parks. Such a deal has come to light in one of the most expensive realty market in India and that too after a long time. The super luxury Project Three Sixty West is a mixed-use development with two towers. It is expected that one of the towers will have The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and the other will house luxury homes managed by The Ritz-Carlton. The property seems to be near its possession and the builder has applied for an occupation certificate from the civic authorities. Most buyers including industry leaders have invested in the project and started with their interior work. This high-value transaction gained attention on the back of the battered property market because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Among other renowned personalities who have purchased their dream house in the ‘Three Sixty West’ includes Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput. The property had cost the actor Rs 55.9 crore, apart from the additional the Rs2.91 crore that was paid toward stamp duty. In fact, in 2019,  a Mumbai family has paid a whopping ₹111 crore for just two flats in Worli. Abhay Soi, the head of Radiant Life Care that manages the Nanavati Hospital paid a staggering ₹54 crore for a flat on the 36th floor while Taruna Soi, another member of the family, on the 37th floor paid ₹57.25 crore for her apartment. Among other renowned personalities who have purchased their dream house in the ‘Three Sixty West’ includes Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput. The property had cost the actor Rs 55.9 crore, apart from the additional the Rs2.91 crore that was paid toward stamp duty.
