Uday Foundation Founder Rahul Verma, Oxfam CEO Amitabh Behar and ActionAid ED Sandeep Chachra participated in ABP News organised India vs Corona 2.0 Conclave on Tuesday and shared the various policies and measures their organisations opted tackle the Covid induced pandemic.


The senior officials of the three reputed organisations revealed the ways via which they tackled the deadly Coronavirus disease and the troubled times. They told how they held their employees dear to them and how efforts were made for them to fight COVID.

Speaking on the various initiatives taken by the ActionAid NGO, ED Sandeep Chachra said, "During the first wave, we distributed ration to over 70 lakh needy people. We organised relief camps and helped several migrants during the lockdown. During the second wave, we started medical helpline in about 10 states. There are about 71 help desks out there helping people inform about vaccines, beds, oxygen and other necessary items."


Meanwhile, Oxfam CEO Amitabh Behar elaborated on the Mission Sanjeevni. He said that their firm helped in installing medical equipment’s including medical oxygen plants. "We are making efforts to distribute PPE kits. We are also preparing a Asha kit for Asha workers in view of predicted 3rd wave of covid-19."



In a similar manner, Uday Foundation Founder Rahul Verma also highlighted the measures taken by their organisation to tackle the pandemic. "We are running a campaign 'Save My Village' to help rural India during the lockdown. We are also making efforts in arranging Oxygen concentrators. In addition to this, we prepared 10,000 wellness kit which contains basic medical aid for treating Covid patients."
