ABP India vs Corona Conclave 2: While the governments, healthcare the workers and essential service providers are working on the front end to tackle the second wake of deadly coronavirus, the Corporate world is participating equally in battling the pandemic.
Shashi Sinha, CEO of IPG Media Brands while speaking at ABP News organised India vs Corona 2.0 Conclave shared the measures and strategy the company opted to keep the workers motivated amid the pandemic.
Sinha in an exclusive conversation said, "We are an American company, it is often said here that if the economy is in bad phase and there is no business, then reduce the working strength. But we appealed in India not to opt this strategy. I am happy to inform that they listened to us and did not expel anyone."
He went on to say that the Covid situation this time is different as compared to the first wave. "Ahead of the lockdown this time, we increased the salary of people in February-March. We also raised Covid fund to deal with the second wave. We gave money to people even without asking, due to which people became mentally strong. Besides these, we facilitated our workers with necessary healthcare such as ventilators, doctors. "
Sinha noted that in the previous wave it was to save jobs and in this wave it was to save lives.
