3 Years After She Met Him Via PUBG, Pak Woman Comes To India With 4 Kids To Meet Lover. Detained

A Pakistani woman and her four children were detained by UP Police after they were found to be living illegally with a man she met via PUBG three years back.

Uttar Pradesh Police has detained a Pakistani woman, and her four children who were illegally staying in Greater Noida, reported PTI citing officials. As per the agency, they were allegedly sheltered by a local man who met the woman through the online game PUBG. The woman, identified as 27-year-old Seema Ghulam Haider met Sachin, a Greater Noida resident, over the online game PUBG which led to a friendship between them, the police officer said, as quoted by PTI.

Police said that Sachin, who allegedly housed Seema Ghulam Haider and her children in his rented accommodation, has also been detained.

"The Pakistani woman and the local man have been detained. The woman's four children are also in police custody," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Saad Miya Khan told PTI.

From Pakistan To Geater Noida

According to a report in Times of India, Seema set out from Karachi in May this year with her four children. They took a flight to Dubai and a connecting one to Kathmandu, TOI reported.

From Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, they went to Pokhara and took a bus. This way, TOI mentioned, they all managed to cross the Indian border illegally. A woman travelling with four kids can hardly arouse any suspicion.

From here they reached Delhi, and a short ride away was her destination - the house of Sachin, a 22-year-old grocery store worker at Rabupura in Greater Noida, the report further added.

Seema and Sachin met in 2020 (during pandemic) through the online game PUBG and three years later, she came to India to find her love.

What Landed The Couple In Police Custody?

After Seema came and started staying with Sachin, they decided to marry. They contacted a Bulandshahr- based lawyer for the same.

"I was startled when I found that she and her children (three daughters and a son) were carrying Pakistani passports. She was making inquiries about the process of getting married in India. She said she wanted to marry Sachin," the lawyer told TOI.

As per the report, the lawyer informed the cops and the duo were caught Sunday on their way to Ballabhgarh in Haryana. Seema had entered India in the third week of May and had been staying with Sachin for over a month till they consulted a lawyer on her residency and the legality of marriage here.

Haider claimed she was a victim of domestic abuse in Pakistan, according to the lawyer and police, as reported by TOI.

"She told me she was married to a Pakistani man who works in Saudi Arabia and he would beat her for every little thing. She said she hadn't met him in four years. She also said her brother is with the Pakistani army," the lawyer said, as quoted by PTI.

"One of my associates followed them. When I learned they were living in a house in Rabupura, I informed the police," the lawyer added. Additional CP (law & order) Sureshrao Arvind Kulkarni said Haider and Sachin were taken off a bus headed to Haryana's Ballabhgarh on Sunday and brought to Noida for questioning.

The Story

Additional CP (law & order) Sureshrao Arvind Kulkarni said, as per TOI, "During interrogation, she said she sold her parents' house at Khairpur in Sindh province for Rs 12 lakh so that she could travel to India so that she could marry Sachin."

Kulkarni added that Haider and the children had travelled from Pakistan on Nepal visas and kept switching buses, first in Nepal and then in India, till one dropped them off at the Yamuna Expressway, where Sachin waited for her.

"While travelling to India from Nepal, she told the cops and other security personnel that she is Hindu and mentioned her first name, Seema. The cops at the border didn't pay any more attention as she had four children with her," he was quoted as saying by TOI.

Multiple Agencies Led The Probe

A police officer at Rabupura said that Sachin had rented a house separate from the one where his family lived and introduced Haider as his wife to the landlord. After the lawyer's tip-off on Friday, Sachin's phone location was traced to Mathura. Police were joined by the UP ATS (anti-terrorist squad) in the pursuit. At last, the police caught them on Sunday.

"Multiple agencies are involved in the probe and questioning the woman. We are also verifying her and her children's passports," said Kulkarni.

As per TOI, Police have informed the Pakistani embassy. Central intelligence agencies are investigating.

Kulkarni said Haider came to India between May 15 and 20 and sought out a lawyer only after Sachin told his parents about his desire to marry her and they insisted that they take legal advice first.

Haider made at least one previous trip to Nepal, this January, when Sachin met her there. " There, they decided they would live together in future," the additional CP said, as quoted by TOI.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Saad Miya Khan told PTI, "The man and the woman are being questioned right now. Further details and facts would be shared once the questioning is over."
