Salman Khan 5 year jail: Bigg Boss winners Manveer Gurjar-Shilpa Shinde, TV actors Kamya Punjabi, Suyyash, Anup Soni & others support actor!

Jodhpur court convicted Salman for five years in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. A penalty of Rs 10,000 has also been levied on him. Other accused in the case - Tabu, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam - were acquitted, while the 'Race 3' star was held in the court.

Manveer's good friend, 'Bigg Boss 7' contestant and actress Kamya wrote in reply to his tweet Andha Kanoon' and wrote two more tweets supporting Salman. Salman's lawyers have appealed for bail in the sessions court, the hearing of which will take place tomorrow but the superstar has to spend the night in the jail today. The fans were gathered in huge numbers outside the court and now even the celebs have come out in support of Salman.

Salman Khan was sent to jail today after he was convicted in the 1998 Blackbuck Poaching Case by Jodhpur Court and was sentenced for 5 years.

The winner of previous season Bigg Boss 10, Manveer Gurjar also expressed his disappointment over Salman's conviction. He had also written before the sentence was announced - Wah re kanoon! Rape aur murder ke victims chakkar pe chakkar lagaate rehte hain unka koi insaaf nahi. Ek aadmi Salman jo kitni charity aur proper tax bharta hai. Usko 20 saal pehle incident ke liye phansa rakha hai.
