We often complain that Bollywood doesn’t try something new and makes films with the same old formula. Now people have started raising the same issue with south Indian films. But Ganapath is different, it has tried to experiment and has succeeded in parts.

Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon starrer tries to do something new and is successful in this attempt. All the praise goes to Pooja Entertainment for showing the courage and taking the risk, the risk that has paid off to a great extent. This film is not for everyone, but it is a new kind of experiment, and this is both the strength and the weakness of this film.

Story
The film is set in a futuristic, dystopian world, where on the one hand there is a city for the rich and powerful called Silver City and on the other hand there is a city in ruins for the poor, called ‘Gareebon ki bustee’. This is the story of Guddu, who lives in the world of the rich, and his job is to find a fighter for a don. The don then eventually gives the order to bury Guddu alive. After this, Guddu somehow goes to the city of the poor, and sets out on a mission—a mission to save his people—a mission to save them from the rich. He has to save people from a dangerous force called Dalini. The story is not very great, but the treatment is different and the film can be watched in theatres for that.

How is the film?
This film takes action and entertainment to a new level. Tiger's entry is amazing. The film captivates you from the very beginning, and you keep waiting to see what will happen next. The film surprises you after every few scenes making you wonder whether this is really a Bollywood film. The chemistry between Tiger and Kriti is quite effortless, and they look cute together in many scenes. Children will definitely love the film. Go watch it, if you are interested in watching something different and experimental.

Acting
Tiger has done so much action now that one wonders what else he will do next, but he keeps reinventing himself in the action genre. Tiger's training sequences are amazing. Many scenes in the film are quite grand and are fun to watch. Kriti Sanon is trying her hands in a wide range of roles and has succeeded in doing justice to all the roles she has played so far, including this film. Amitabh Bachchan's look is quite different in the film, and it's quite interesting to see him in a new role. His voice gives a different feel to the film.

Direction: The film is helmed by Vikas Bahl, who has made films like ‘Super 30’, and ‘Queen’ in the past. The director has tried creating something different in the film and has succeeded. His grip on the film remains intact. It looks like he has done a lot of hard work and research to come up with something new for this film.

Music: The background music of the film is good. The songs have been composed by Salim Suleman and they have done an amazing job. The music is fun and does not slow down the film anywhere.

Cinematography: The way the film has been shot will definitely impress you. The way the world of ‘Ganpath’ has been shown looks different and grand, too.

Overall, the film will receive criticism as well as praise for trying something new and experimenting. Films like these should be supported so that makers don't shy away from experimenting when it comes to films.
