New Delhi: Nandamuri Balakrishna’s highly anticipated film ’Bhagavanth Kesari’ was released worldwide on Thursday and registered a good first-day collection. This film marks his second release of the year, following the success of his earlier 2023 offering, 'Veera Simha Reddy', which received positive reviews from fans during the Sankranti festival. 


According to Sacknilk.com, the film collected roughly Rs 20 crore nett in India on day 1. The film is also expected to make Rs 7.17 crore nett on its second day in India, which will take its total earnings at the domestic level to Rs 27.17 crore. The Telugu movie had a total occupancy of 62.03% on Thursday, with the highest occupancy being 72.34% for the night shows. 


‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ has been getting positive reviews from audiences since its release. Some of the audience took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and gave their positive reviews for the film. One user tweeted, "A good moral and commercial entertainer..."


A person wrote, "I just finished watching the ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ movie; it was a very nice movie and a treat to watch Nandamuri Balakrishna Garu (brother) with @AnilRavipudi's way of presenting him. I really enjoyed the movie. Especially the new dialogue. NBK's screen presence and other artists performances were simply superb.” 


Another user tweeted, “With ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ Anil Ravipudi delivers a solid second half. Nandamuri Balakrishna and @sreeleela14 deliver terrific performances. After a long time, NBK (Nandamuri Balakrishna) has done an excellent job. It's a clean family entertainer.” 


Talking about the plot of the film, it revolves around the narrative of Nandamuri Balakrishna's efforts to protect a young girl following the tragic death of her father in a car accident. Balakrishna attempts to enroll the girl in the military, but she initially resists his efforts. Subsequently, she becomes involved in a plot created by a merchant, but eventually surmounts the obstacles and achieves her goal of joining the armed forces. 


Starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Sreeleela in lead roles, the film also features Kajal Aggarwal and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles.  Directed by Anil Ravipudi and Produced by Shine Screens, 'Bhagavanth Kesari' has music composed by S. Thaman. 


‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ is facing a clash with Vijay's ‘Leo’ at the box office, which earned Rs 68 crore nett in India on its first day for all languages.
