Met Gala 2024 hosted a number of global celebrities and fashion enthusiasts as they put their best foot forward on the red carpet. Indian and international celebrities, fashion experts and some business tycoon were a part of the presigious event making headlines with their outfits. Among other notable people from India, Sudha Reddy, who is a Hyderabad-based businesswoman also walked at the event, grabbing attention not only with her stunning ensemble but also with her diamond jewellery.
Sudha Reddy's Outfit:
Garbed in a custom Tarun Tahiliani outfit aligning with the 'Garden Of Time' theme, Sudha made heads turn in an ivory silk gown handcrafted by over 80 artisans over a period of 4,500 hours. The outfit featured a corseted bodice with a miniature self-portrait of Sudha holding a delicate rose.
Sharing pictures on Instagram, Sudha talked about her outfit saying, "Engaging with the theme, 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,' my ensemble created lovingly by Tarun Tahiliani resonates with India’s current cultural renaissance. Imbued with meticulous craftsmanship and profound symbolism, it narrates an artistic saga transcending the realms of haute couture, a tale of heartfelt collaboration."
Describing her outfit she wrote, "Handcrafted by over 80 artisans over 4500-man hours, the ivory silk gown epitomized the talents of master artisans. Its meticulously rendered bodice, adorned with hand-carved mother-of-pearl flowers and symbolic 3D butterflies, flowed gracefully, embodying the essence of self-expression through its cascading drapery."
"Each detail, from the handcrafted motifs to the luminous jewels by Farah Khan Ali, encapsulates the promise of hope and the enduring legacy of craftsmanship. A celebration of beauty, culture, and the eternal spirit of fashion," she added.
Her Accessories:
Sudha completed her look with nude makeup and tied her hair into a bun. For accessorising er outfit, she opted for a round flower shaped clutch, rings, bracelets and a diamond necklace.
Talking about them on Instagram, sudha said, The off-white vintage Chanel clutch from the ‘Falling For Camellias’ collection, a veritable relic in the history of the brand adding a touch of timeless sophistication to the ensemble. The hair and makeup, carefully attended to, adding a personal touch to elevate the ensemble’s charm. Yet, behind all the curated glitz and glam lies the dedicated efforts of a team of artists and visionaries, whose tireless commitment ensures that every detail is nothing short of extraordinary."
The Diamonds She Wore:
Apart from Sudha Reddy's gorgeous ensemble, it was her 180-carat diamond necklace called 'Amore Eterno' that caught attention. The statement necklace features a 25-carat heart-shaped diamond symbolising the wearer, along with three additional 20-carat heart-shaped diamonds representing her husband and their two children. Complementing this necklace, she wore a 23-carat diamond solitaire ring and another 20-carat diamond solitaire ring, reportedly valued at $20 million, according to Page Six.
Sharing about the necklace on Instagram, Sudha said that it symbolizes the enduring legacy of the Reddy family, a testament to artisanal excellence.

Originating from Vijayawada, Sudha Reddy tied the knot with Krishna Reddy at the age of 19, a union she believes has been strengthened by their shared upbringing. She is also a mother to two children, Manas and Pranav, and holds a directorial position at MEIL. Additionally, she heads the Sudha Reddy Foundation, thereby actively contributing to the company's philanthropic endeavors. Notably, prior to this year's Met Gala, Sudha Reddy had made an appearance in 2021 as well.
