The Ambani household has been immersed in a series of joyous celebrations as the much-awaited Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding is inching closer. The pre-wedding festivities kickstarted in Jamnagar with the 'Lagan Lakhvanu' ceremony and Radhika Merchant emerged as an ethereal bride. Garbed in a custom-made Anamika Khanna lehenga, she graced the signature floral work adorned with sequin patches.

The pastel-blue lehenga featured a peach choli with floral embellishments that seamlessly flowed into a matching dupatta draped in the traditional saree style. Complementing her ensemble, she adorned herself with a trio of stylish accessories: a diamond bracelet, matching earrings, a maang teeka, thereby staying true to the Ambani penchant for diamonds.

Coming to her makeup and accessories, she opted for subtle makeup to accentuate her features with a soothing colour palette. A soft glow highlighted her cheekbones, and her lips sported a glossy sheen, framing well-defined eyes with kohl and a small red bindi. Her beautiful hair, parted in the middle and cascading in gentle waves, added a touch of classic charm to her ensemble.

The significance of the Lagan Lakhvanu ceremony in the Gujarati community is profound, marking the inception of the first wedding invitation, known as Kankotri, which is then presented to the almighty to seek blessings for the soon-to-be-wedded couple. Firmly rooted in tradition and deeply respectful of their cultural heritage, Anant and Radhika embarked on their journey together with the auspicious ceremony of Lagan Lakhwanu, honouring the sanctity of the rituals.

Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani's relationship, built on the foundation of friendship and love, was officially solemnised on the sacred grounds of Nathdwara, Rajasthan, in December 2022. It culminated in an engagement ceremony on January 19, 2023, amidst the lively festivities of Gol Dhana in Mumbai.
