New Delhi: It's time for Mother's Day and you must be ready with all your Mother's Day presents. But, to make the day even more special for her, you can simply cook something for her and maybe help with the cleanup, allowing her even more time to unwind. To make it simple to prepare a meal that your mom would adore, we've included some dishes that would be befitting for the celebration feast.


In this regard, ABP Live spoke to some chefs who shared a few quick and easy recipes for Mother's Day. Interestingly, along with them, we collected a few recipes shared by the little ones themselves, which you too can incorporate into your Mother's Day lunch.


Recipes Shared By Chefs:


1. Loaded cheesy fries (By Chef James Patrick, The Fat Tiger)


Ingredients:



  • French fries- 160 grams

  • Gouda cheese mayo

  • Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese

  • Chilly flakes bulk

  • Salt to taste


Method:



  • Set the fryer temperature up to 180 degrees, Then take out the fries and cook them fry for 2 min and 30 seconds until they are crispy and golden brown.

  • Mix them with salt.

  • Place a boat tray and then keep half the fried fries on it and then put Gouda cheese mayo, mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

  • Then put the rest of the fries and add the Gouda cheese mayo, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese to that as well.

  • Now, drizzle the chilly flakes over the fries. Serve the loaded fries hot and enjoy!


2. Mango and Cream Cheese Sandwiches (By Chef Shashank Shekhar from CYK Hospitalities)


Ingredients:



  • 8 slices of bread

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 1 cup sliced mangoes


Method:



  • In a small bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • Lay out 4 slices of bread and spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture on each one.

  • Top each slice of bread with a handful of sliced mangoes.

  • Place the remaining 4 slices of bread on top of the mango layer to create a sandwich.

  • Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the sandwiches into heart shapes.

  • Serve the heart-shaped sandwiches to Mom as a special Mother's Day treat!


3. Eggless Banana Cake With Cheese Frosting (By Chef Gholam, Corporate pastry chef, VRO Hospitality)


Ingredients:


For Banana cake:



  • Banana- 185 gm

  • Butter (melted)- 40 gm

  • Brown sugar- 125 gm

  • Oil- 40 gm

  • Flour- 125 gm

  • Baking soda- 2.5 gm

  • Baking powder- 2.5 gm

  • Milk- 50 ml


For Cheese Frosting:



  • Cream cheese- 100 gm

  • Butter- 50 gm

  • Icing sugar- 50gm


Method:



  • Firstly, blend Banana, milk and Brown sugar until its forms like paste.

  • Further add flour, baking powder and baking soda to the Banana paste.

  • The next step is to add oil, and melted butter to that same batter.

  • Place the cake tray into the preheated oven. Bake the cake at 180 degrees Celsius for around 20 minutes.

  • Further, allow the cake to cool completely.

  • Furthermore, cream the cream cheese, butter and icing sugar until it gets smooth cream cheese frosting.

  • Now apply the cream cheese frosting on top of the Banana cake and then cut it into slices and serve.

4. Bread Pizza (By, Tanush Walecha)


Ingredients:



  • Bread slices, as per requirement. Preferably 10 (2 each)

  • 2 medium size Onions

  • 1 Capsicum 

  • 2 Tomatoes 

  • 1 cup Boiled Sweet Corn

  • 150 gm Cottage Cheese 

  • Olives

  • Jalapeno slices

  • Mayonnaise 

  • Tomato Ketchup 

  • Pizza Sauce

  • Salt according to taste

  • Pepper

  • Oregano

  • Mozzarella Cheese


Method:



  • Cut Onion, Capsicum, tomatoes (without pulp), and cottage cheese into medium square pieces.

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius for 5 to 7 minutes.

  • In the meantime, take bread slices and start adding the toppings.

  • First, spread the pizza sauce on the bread slices, then, place the cut onions, capsicum, cottage cheese, corn, olives, and jalapenos uniformly.

  • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on the toppings (I put a lot of cheese on it, I love it!)

  • With your fingers, evenly sprinkle the salt and pepper over the cheese.

  • Now place this bread into the oven (I do it under the supervision of my grandma as the oven is very hot). Don’t forget to wear silicon gloves.

  • Set the temperature to 150 degrees Celsius and bake it for 2-3 minutes.

  • The yummy bread pizza is ready. Sprinkle some Oregano herb over the bread and serve it hot!


5. Crispy Golden Pyaz Pakoda (By Vedaant Ravikar)


Ingredients:



  • 3 large-size onions- thinly sliced

  • 2 medium green chillies finely chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves minced

  • 1/2 cup gram flour (besan)

  • 1/3 cup semolina (suji)

  • 1/3 cup coriander (dhaniya)

  • 1 spoon chaat masala

  • Bail Kolhu Kachi Ghani Mustard Oil, for frying

  • 2 to 3 carom leaves (ajwain patta)

  • Pinch of Turmeric Powder

  • Pinch of Asafoetida (Hing)

  • Salt as per taste


Method:



  • In a mixing bowl, add gram flour (besan), semolina, asafoetida, turmeric powder, 2 garlic cloves minced, carom leaves (ajwain ke patte), finely chopped green chillis, chaat masala, and salt to taste.

  • Make a medium-thick batter, mix it well, and keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • In a kadhai, pour mustard oil and put on a high flame.

  • Then, stir the whole mixture very well with a spoon or with your hands.

  • Put the cut onions in the flour mixture and with your hands, gently place the onion (mixed with batter) in the pan, one by one.

  • Depending on the size of the pan, cook three to four pakodas at a time. Make sure the pan is not overcrowded.

  • Turn the pakodas over with a slotted spoon when it has become a bit crispy.

  • In order to ensure consistent cooking, you will need to turn the pakodas a few times.

  • Dish out the pakodas on a paper towel to soak up the excess oil and serve immediately.

  • Serve it with coriander or mint chutney or tomato ketchup along with a cup of hot tea.


6. Veg Mayo Cheese Sandwich (By, Shreyans Jain)


Ingredients:



  • 4 wheat bread slices 

  • 5 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 2 cheese slices

  • 1 small carrot julienne 

  • 1 onion, finely sliced

  • 1/4 cup cabbage finely chopped 

  • 1/4 cup processed cheese grated

  • Half a teaspoon of pepper powder

  • 2 tablespoons of butter


Method:



  • Firstly, prepare the vegetables by slicing or chopping them as you like.

  • Then, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread (take care not to get the mayonnaise all over the bread).

  • Lay two pieces of bread with the vegetables in layers, one after another.

  • On top of the vegetables, sprinkle grated cheese and pepper powder.

  • Put the other slice of bread on top and gently press it.

  • Apply butter to a hot tawa or toaster.

  • Then, gently press the prepared bread onto the tawa. On a low to medium flame, toast the sandwich until golden brown and crisp. Perfectly toasting hardly takes a minute.

  • Spread butter over the bread slice. When it is crisp and golden brown, flip it over and lightly press. 

  • Now enjoy your Veg Mayo Cheese Sandwich. Serve it with ketchup or your preferred dipping sauce.
