New Delhi: In 2022, we have heard so much news about actresses' cosmetic surgeries that have gone wrong to an extent that caused grave harm to them. In yet another news that has been doing the rounds of social media, a Brazilian model underwent 40 cosmetic operations over a period of 12 years to look like the reality TV sensation Kim Kardashian. The model later decided to 'de-transition' and go back to how she looked before going under the knife. Jennifer Pamplona hada heard time recovering mentally and physically from such procedures.

According to a New York Post report, Jennifer Pamplona, revealed to Caters that she had undergone cosmetic procedures to look like Kim Kardashian. Pamplona is said to have spent $ 600k (INR 4,77,11,400) to look like Kim, and has now spent $120K (INR 95,43,162) to look like herself.

She was quoted telling the publication that wanting to look like a celebrity and the pleasure one gets from it were very superficial and thus her decision to 'de-transition.'

“People would call me a Kardashian and it started to get annoying,” she said. “I had worked and studied and was a businesswoman. I had done all these things and had all these achievements in my personal life, but I was only being recognised because I looked like a Kardashian,” she was quoted as saying.

"I discovered that I was addicted to surgery and I wasn’t happy, I was putting filler in my face like I was in the supermarket. It was an addiction and I got into a cycle of surgery equals fame and money, I just lost control of everything. I went through a lot of hard times,"the former Versace model told Caters.

According to reports, Jennfer was only 17 years old when she had her first surgery. After that she had "three rhinoplasties and eight operations on her bottom, including butt implants and fat injections”.

Jennifer is now working on a documentary film titled 'Addiction' which will precisely talk about body dysmorphia. Jennifer took to her official Instagram handle to share the official poster of the documentary along with a post that read, "ADDICTION Creating this documentary helped me feel all the emotions of my childhood. It made me understand every part of who I am. Being true and honest with myself. It helped me tell my story in a constructive way for our society. We live in a world full of comparisons, depression, hate, standards and lies. This is my story, I will break standards and show the truth. I hope it inspires you to love yourself, exactly the way you are."
