  • Moong dal - 1/3 cup washed
  • Raisins- 8
  • Chopped green chillies- 2
  • Chopped ginger - 1 piece
  • Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Yoghurt - 300 g
  • Powdered sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Roasted cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Black salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Sweet chutney - 1 tbsp
  • Green chutney - 1 tbsp

Recipe For Making Soft Dahi Bhallas

1-First of all, soak urad and moong dal separately for about 5 hours.
2- Now drain water completely from urad dal and grind finely in a mixer jar.
3- In the same way, drain water from moong dal and grind it finely.
4- Now mix urad and moong dal paste and beat it well.
5- While whisking the dal, make sure to do so in just one direction. That is, either from left to right or from right to left direction.
6- Whisk this paste for about 10 minutes. To check if the batter is well beaten, drop it in water and check. If the batter starts floating up in the water, it means it has been whisked well.
7- Now add raisins, green chillies, ginger to this paste and beat a little more.
8- Now put about 1 litre of normal water, 1 glass of warm water and asafoetida in a pot.
9- Heat the oil in a pan and drop the bhallas in the oil.
10- Now pour oil on the bhallas with the spatula and fry till it fluffs up well.
11- When the bhallas become golden brown in colour, remove them from oil.
12- Now put all the bhallas in water immediately and let them stay for half an hour.
13- Now prepare yoghurt mix for the bhallas. For this, add powdered sugar to the curd.
14- Now to serve, lightly press the bhallas and remove them from the water.
15- Now place the bhallas in the bowl, add yoghurt, cumin powder, black pepper powder, black salt, red and green chutney on the top.
