Happy Independence Day: This year ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has been kicked off to encourage people to showcase the Tiranga at home and to hoist it to mark the 75th Independence Day

Happy Independence Day 2022: India’s 75^th Independence Day is just a day away and several events are being organised to mark India’s glorious history, culture and its accomplishments under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative. On August 15, 1947 India became independent from the British rule. The day marks the sacrifices of our brave leaders and freedom fighters who gave away their everything for the sake of the nation.

The intitiaves under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ had officially commenced on 12 March 2021 which started a 75-week countdown to the 75th anniversary of independence and will end next year on 15 August 2023.

The day is marked throughout the country with flag-raising ceremonies, drills, and singing of the Indian national anthem Jana Gana Mana.

Every year on Independence Day, the Prime Minister hoists the tricolour flag at the Red Fort and delivers a nationally broadcast speech from its ramparts. 

On the platinum jubilee of Independence, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has been kicked off to encourage people to hoist the Tiranga at home to mark the day.

On this day, people express their love for the nation by sharing patriotic messages with friends, family and loved ones.
