Guru Purnima 2021: It is said that in ancient times in India students got free education in Gurukuls. On the day of Guru Purnima, they used to worship their Guru with full devotion and gave Dakshina (honorarium) to them.


In this day and age, while learning from a Guru or a teacher one should have faith in them. On the day of Guru Purnima, many people fast for their Gurus or teachers. Apart from this, there are some other ways through which one can please their Guru or teacher.


On the day of Guru Purnima, wake up early in the morning and bath then finish your chores if possible, take a bath in a holy river. Prepare a Vyaspeeth by spreading a white cloth on a wooden plank on a clean holy place in the house by drawing twelve lines from east to west and north to south.


After this, make a resolution by chanting the mantra 'Guruparamparasiddhayarthm Vyasapoojan Karishye' and leave intact in all the ten directions.


Do worship, havan while reciting mantras in the name of Brahmaji, Vyasji, Shukdevji, Govind Swamiji, Shankaracharyaji and your beloved Guruji. During this, it is mandatory to meditate.
