New Delhi: Google’s doodle for December 6 celebrates a most of like, i.e. pizza. On this day in 2007, the culinary art of Neapolitan “Pizzaiuolo” was first inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Today’s google doodle is a pizza cutting game that has pizzas with most favourite toppings from across the world. One has to cut the pizza into required slices while keeping in mind the topping request. The more accurate the slices, the more stars are earned.

The design for the game is by Anthony Irwin and the artists are  David Lu and Alyssa Winans. It features 11 pizzas namely margherita pizza, pepperoni pizza, white pizza, calabresa pizza, muzzarella pizza, hawaiian pizza, magyaros pizza, teriyaki mayonnaise pizza, tom yum pizza, paneer tikka pizza, and dessert pizza.

Although flatbread with topping has been eaten for centuries across Egypt and Rome, the Italian city of Naples is credited for Pizza’s birth as we know it today in the late 1700s. Pizza has been through the evolution of human civilization with the global migration, economic and technological developments.

To honour pizza, google created this doodle and tweeted, “Today's interactive #GoogleDoodle celebrates a dough-licious dish loved all around the world: Pizza! 🍕🌎 Keep an eye on the toppings ordered & slice your way to more points in today's pizza puzzle game! → http://goo.gle/2Z6bg6s

To play the game just open google and click on the doodle that appears above the search bar. The game will open and use your cursor to create lines on the pizza according to the demand. As soon as you release the cursor, the line will cut the pizza that way. The more accurate you are in cutting the pizza slices, the more stars you earn.
