This day has huge significance in the Hindu Community as this celebration is in the welcome of Lord Ram Sita and Lakshman who returned on this day after defeating Lankapati Ravan. On this day we can find light diyas all around and with the decoration of Rangoli, Toran of Banana, and Mango trees with the flower of Marigold. They celebrate this day as a victory of Good over Evil.

- Pradosh Kaal - 5:57 PM to 8:29 PM
- Vrishabha Kaal - 7:10 PM to 9:08 PM
- Amavasya Tithi Begin - 5:27 PM on October 24th
- Amavasya Tithi ends - at 4:18 PM on 25th October
Puja Vidhi: On this day People pray for the wisdom, wealth, and good health of their loved ones. They set up the ‘Puja Sthal’ and follow all the religious steps for Puja as per their Rituals.
- People wake up early and then Pray to their Ancestors.
- Set up a chowki and keep the red cloth on the chowki.
- Make the Satiya from the rice and put all the Puja Samagri related to evening puja with the idols of Goddess Laksmi and God Ganesha.
- Adorn them with silk clothes and jewelry.
- Put the Silver Coin and Shree Yantra with them if you have them.
- Place all the Other things like flowers, Bell and Diya.
- Now put the diyas in the nearby temple of your locality and then at the crossroads of the house as well.
- Leight up all your house with candles and diyas to welcome all the grace.
- Now, pray to them according to your Rituals, Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha will shower all the grace.
Significance Of The Day: This day marks the huge religious importance in the country. Not only Hindus but Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists also celebrate this day as they all have different beliefs in their religion regarding Amavasya of Kartik Month.
On a large level, Hindus celebrate the day as Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile in forests. This Trio of Lord Ram, Devi Sita, and Brother Lakshman came back with some others who helped them to find Devi Sita and to defeat Lanka Pati Ravan. All the Ayodhya Vasi placed millions of Diyas in the city, renovating and whitewashing their houses for their ideals. Ravan Kidnaps Goddess Sita by deceit and took him, Hostage. Lord Ram saved Devi Sita and Killed Lankapati Ravan which was marked as a Victory of Good Over Evil.
