Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of happiness and prosperity when graces your life, one can attain prosperity. Goddess Lakshmi is also considered to be the goddess of wealth. And wealth is considered to be a major instrument in the Kalyuga.
Importance of Diwali: The festival of Diwali is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi. And she is worshipped on this day with Aarti and Stuti. It is believed that doing so pleases the Goddess and removes wealth-related problems. The blessings of Goddess Lakshmi can be obtained by worshiping in Shubh muhurat and according to the method.

Lakshmi Pujan Vidhi on Diwali
Clean and purify the place before worshipping Lakshmi on Diwali. Then install the Kalash by applying tilak on it. Perform Kalash Pujan. Take flowers, akshat and water in your hand and meditate. Then put everything on the Kalash. After this, offer flowers and akshat to Shri Ganeshji and Lakshmiji also. Then place the statue of Lakshmi ji and Ganesha on a plate and bathe them in a mixture of milk, curd, honey, tulsi, and Gangajal. Give them a bath with clean water later. Then install the idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh again on the chowki (raised platform).
Apply chandan tilak to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh and offer them flower garlands. Keep kheel-khilaune, batashe, sweets, fruits, rupees and gold jewellery in front of the idols. Then read Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi katha (story) and perform Aarti afterward. Distribute the prasad after finishing the puja. Give some charity to needy people.
