New Delhi: One of the top luxury fashion brands, Gucci, has now chosen Alia Bhatt as their brand ambassador. She is the first Indian global brand ambassador for the Italian luxury fashion house. To celebrate, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram handle and made this big announcement. She posted two pictures and penned down a small note.
She wrote, "I’m honoured to represent the house of Gucci not only in India but on a global stage. Gucci’s legacy has always inspired and intrigued me and I’m looking forward to the many sartorial milestones we create together."
A lot of celebrities took to the comments section to congratulate her on her achievement. Karan Johar wrote, "Proud proud proud", adding 3 heart emojis to it. Janhvi Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Vaani Kapoor also poured in a lot of emojis, while her mother Soni Razdan said, "Amazing news congratulations darling."
In addition to Alia Bhatt, Gucci also shared a post from its official Instagram handle along with a caption. They wrote, "Alia Bhatt is the House’s newest Global Brand Ambassador. To mark the occasion, the actress, producer, and entrepreneur were captured with the Gucci Bamboo 1947 bag."
According to Gucci, Alia will also make her first public appearance as Gucci's face at the upcoming Gucci Cruise 2024 runway show in South Korea, which will take place at the Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, on May 16.
By becoming a Gucci ambassador, Bhatt also joined scores of international A-listers like Lee Jung-Jae, South Korean actress Mina Shin, Japanese talent Jun Shison, singer Harry Styles, and Dakota Johnson, among others.
In addition to this, Alia also made her debut at the MET Gala 2023 where she walked in a white gown from the shelves of designer Prabal Gurung. On the work front, she will next be seen in 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani', alongside Ranveer Singh and is also set to make her Hollywood debut with 'Heart Of Stone'
